For the past several years Max has demanded that I post his favorite holiday video.
That’s right, I’m talking about the one with the dogs having a holiday dinner together, hosted by The Cat. It’s a TV ad that was made by FreshPet in (I think) 2014.
I think almost all of you have seen this one but it’s truly an oldie but a goodie so, without any further effort on my part, here are the Holiday Dogs back for 2020:

In franglais, even. Always welcome!

Wee wee. But the choice of white wine with FreshPet concerns me.

Thanks for giving the thugs ideas….I should never have let them see this…
Super ad, though, isn’t it.

My guess is that they would negotiate a price to return them to you.

Thanks for the superb link! As you know, I am a big fan of Kristofferson and have been for, ai yai yai, a half century. I knew he drew inspiration from Blake but I think the article caught something special with the D H Lawrence references. “…where do you say you are from and which do you consider your home?β is a question I still find hard to answer and I think you know all about that uncertainty. Ultimately my home is not so much a place as being with a certain person, and let’s include a small dog just for fun. KK will always be the soundtrack of my life and I enjoyed immensely reading that piece.

Max and Tom, you are the best for posting this again! It never gets old. Still laughing out loud! Who doesn’t need to laugh out loud about now? This ad is genius.

Let’s just be glad other dogs don’t have hands like that, especially thumbs. We would be their slaves. Oh wait…

He would turn up his nose and refuse to eat a thing. Because that’s how he rolls.

Well, humph, then he just won’t get invited. He can sit at the children’s table.

If there’s whipped cream, he might be convinced to join in

In that case there will be whipped cream. Lots and lots of whipped cream!

Having a cat for dinner…what a great idea! – Toby

Wait a minute! You mean having a cat OVER for dinner. Right? ππΉπΌ

If we’re gonna have a cat for dinner, let’s make it Chunk so everyone gets extra servings!

Bad Tom. Bad. In spite of his….shall we say, girth…Chunk is pretty darn quick on his feet.

In any case, I think the cat in that video would protect him. That was clearly a CatFather cat.

I think that cat would be a little too tough for a small dogger like you, Toby. He looks like he’s had about all the dog-nonsense he can handle. Be careful with that cat!

Go ahead and say it, Lois. So go ahead. Get it off your chest. I know you want to. “Unlike the guy who publishes this silly dog blog.”

Bet there are no leftovers to deal with! HA! π

I agree – no leftovers! I would hate to be the one assigned dish washing duties though. Slobber! I’ll bet The Cat assigns the after dinner tasks – he/she looks tough. It’s not Christmas without Le Dogs.

No words just dogs happily scoffing the product and stealing the silver.
Better behaved than my family…

I think a lot of us can find a dog whose behavior is similar to a family member. On my side I think it’s the dog with the flask. At least it was like that growing up. The Cat would have been my Grandmother, ruling with an iron hand. Nowadays, the young dog playing with his phone at the table would fit right in.
