You get a gold star for this one Max! 🌟 I would keep my distance from you too!! Lol. But tell the truth, are you really practicing social distancing, or just copying what you see DogDad do?

Once smart, always smart. Unlike too many homosapiens. Keep up the good work, Max; hopefully some of your smarts will rub off on the dumber aspects of human society.
I LOVE retirement! Even having to stay home beats those Zoom meetings that my co-workers are forced to endure. I was never a meeting kinda gal anyway. Meeting by computer? No, thanks. Now back to zz-zzz-zzz….
How come that Mantegna forgot to include a small white dog in his ‘Triumph of the Virtues’?
Such a socially responsible small animal…not leading you astray with requests for walks, leading a quiet, contented life at home, he is an example to us all…as long as the milk bones hold out.
You will be pleased to know that we now have eight and a half dogs..the half being a tiny soul bought for the objectionable child across the road because he had been taught to beg. As the objectionable child thought it very funny not to give him anything when he begged he trotted over here one breakfast time, and has repeated the visits three times a day ever since, spending longer each time. Needless to say he no longer begs….
Max does consider himself a bit of a Renaissance dog and he could have portrayed “sloth” amongst Mantegna’s other vices. He said that I looked a bit like the character being carried out in the lower left. Rude dog. So…8 1/2 eh? The word is spreading among the Costa Rica canines that free eats are available at the Finca. He will be osmotically adopted into the pack o’ thugs in no time at all. Have you come up with a name yet?
In my defence I must say that the dog creeps in unseen and strikes with speed, just like his namesake…also has a certain oiliness of manner when discovered drying himself in the bedclothes after a shower of rain.
My ambition in life was to be a professional social distancer. I’ve been doing it for years. They’ve always paid me to “stay outta here” or “stay away”. My favorite is “amscray”. I give lessons.
Max, I try to be a responsible social distancer, but humans keep trying to rub their germy faces against me. If you have that problem too, consider tooting. Tooting will make nearly all humans take three steps back.
Thank you, Max!
I’m sure all of your sides are good. But, thank you for showing us your relaxed, calm, not-a-care-in-the-world side. It makes me breathe deeply and smile. 🙂
Oh, that we human-beans could relax with such abandon! 😉
Ha! Oh, wait, some of us do! 😮 😉 😛
PATS and RUBS and ❤ and HUGS!!!
Max says thanks and apologizes for the lack of quality posts on this silly dog blog. “My DogDad and his body temperature are both a bit below normal,” he says.
Ah, but his sense of humor and intelligence is way above normal! 😉 😀
PS…we are trying to live life with abandon**…just close to home and/or indoors. 😉
**Living life with abandon doesn’t mean living recklessly but rather deciding that no matter what comes your way you are going to enjoy everything and you are going to make the best of what is going on around you.
Party on, Garth! I’m all for living with abandon. I’d say “I’m here for a good time not for a long time,” BUT I’ve already been around for a long time so that saying doesn’t work for me. Nothing to do but make the most out of what you’ve got. Smile, help folks, be kind, shoot hoarders…that kind of stuff.
Take my approach. A couple of beers and you’ll be relaxing with more than abandon, Carolyn. You’ll be dancing on the tables. Oh wait, Cooper says that’s already pretty common around your house. :snorf:

When Max wakes up from his latest bout of social distancing, I’ll let him know you had a question, Ginger! Most responsible dog I know.

And he has never, ever tried to hoard toilet paper! Or even us it. Milk bones, on the other hand…

I donlt know what they call him over the road, but we call him Zuniga, after one of the more devious lawyers in town…

Naming a dog after a lawyer disparages dogs everywhere.

Birds speaking pig Latin! I thought I was socially distancing too and then found out nobody likes me. Except Max and he could be a liar too.

HA! Cooper is right! 😀
And I don’t need beer or root bear 😉 or any such thing to dance on tables, etc. 😛

Also, I don’t know if it was intentional or not but “root bear” is a wonderful phrase. I want a root bear!
